Harvard Media is looking for a Media Planner – someone responsible for the effective management of client relationships and the conduit between Harvard Media creative and analytics team and the client. This position is also responsible for promoting and selling Harvard Media’s services.

Responsibilities

  • Create, build and maintain strong working relationships with each client. 
  • Effectively presents, offers, sells and defends all agency work/proposals to clients; supports other accounts team members in these functions.
  • Work with the client and the accounts team to understand the client’s business objectives and advertising strategy.
  • Work closely with graphic designers, videographers, copywriters, and other Harvard Media team members to produce marketing collateral in accordance with the client’s marketing objectives.
  • Market and leverage our vendor/distribution channel partnerships to ensure best value, pricing and support for customers.
  • Ability to identify existing client opportunities and pain points. 
  • Develops creative briefs and oversees plan development, execution and follow-up.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies and understands research techniques.
  • Market/Category research and analysis: focus on competitive advertising, media spending and developing future research initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns to inform future ones.
  • Assists in preparing client invoices, proposals, marketing communications and strategic marketing plans, media and public relations plans.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Business. Focus on marketing is an asset but not required
  • Account management experience would be considered an asset.  A demonstrated understanding of account management and providing exceptional customer service would be considered.
  • Passion and understanding of digital advertising and creating campaign and brand strategies.
  • Ability to multitask effectively, working on several projects at the same time, often for several different clients.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to handle multiple projects/deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem solving, flexibility, and ability to operate with poise under pressure.
