Pride Festival 2021

Regina’s Queen City Pride Festival is just around the corner and our crew at Harvard Media could not be more excited! We ‘pride’ ourselves on being a diverse and inclusive workplace where all of our staff can be who they are. Let’s explore Queen City Pride 2021!

Regina Pride Inc.

Regina Pride Inc. hosts an annual 10-day festival and parade, known as the Queen City Pride Festival, in celebration of Regina’s Gender and Sexually Diverse (GSD) communities. The festival features a collection of events to highlight the community’s culture, history, achievements, and the societal challenges still faced by 2SLGBTQIA+ people today. The organization strives to educate, enlighten, and entertain the city about the topic through various events and activities. Pride is more than just a festival, it is a time for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to be unafraid and to express who they are.

Queen City Pride Festival 2021

The Queen City Pride festivities for 2021 officially start on June 4 and run until June 13. The theme for this year is “You Are Loved” and pays tribute to a long-time member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community who passed away in December 2020. Some of the activities that will take place this year include a province-wide online 50/50 raffle, a virtual parade, and “Pride Up Your Place” – a city-wide decorating contest for community, organizations, and businesses; decorate your home, neighbourhood, desks, offices, and storefronts! Harvard Media will be participating, will you or your business?

Our Support

Our crew has been supporting Queen City Pride for over five years – even before we were Harvard Media! In past years, we have participated in the parade by jazzing up a truck from Capital GMC and Capital Ford in pride and cruising the city. As mentioned before, here at Harvard Media we will be participating in the “Pride Up Your Place” contest which we are so excited for! We also support through sponsorship each year – this year we are proud to be a gold-level sponsor.

At Harvard Media, sponsorships and participation are not enough so we have created a well-rounded digital campaign on a variety of platforms for Queen City Pride 2021. These platforms include Google Display, Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Snapchat, and TikTok; we have also created radio and billboard ads! Finally, thanks to the Google for Nonprofits ad grant, we’re able to assist in creating and running a full Google Search campaign for Queen City Pride.
